Are there programs with English subtitles?

Yes. Some movies and dramas in the On Demand library include English subtitles. There are two types available: English Subtitles and English Closed Captions. Programs “with English subtitles” already have the subtitles displayed on the video, so you cannot turn them on or off. For English Closed Captions, you can switch them on or off from the options in the bottom right corner of the screen.
*Please note that NHK World Premium and Jme Select do not have English subtitles.
