The news program is broadcast in English. How can I switch it to Japanese?

To switch the language, press the ↓ button on the remote control, then go right. Click on the speech balloon-like icon at the right end. This will allow you to toggle between languages. If both are already set to Japanese, click on the Japanese option that is not currently selected. This will switch the language.
